Default High idle when cold (searched)

My idle on my b18a seems kinda high when its cold, 2100-2300 rpms, but when it warms up its perfect, around 800-900 rpms. Does anyone know what could be going on? Also I have a brand new FITV so that cant be the problem.

normal idle should be around 750+- 50, try adjusting the idle screw a little lower. 2000rpm cold start doesnt sound bad.

thats normal, if your car idle at 800rpm when cold then you have a problem.

I tried adjusting the screw and when it warmed up it was around 700 rpms and it seemed so low that it was going to stall, ill try it again. Maybe im just thinking its really high because even though its at 2000rpms cold it just sounds really loud because of my exhaust.

I just thought it was a high idle because I read most people had their cold idle around 1300-1500 rpms

i think its all normal.. my car does it too
the engine probably works harder to warm itself up --> higher revs
when its already hot --> revs low

just like when u put ur foot on ur power brakes or turn on ur a/c... --> higher revs

it could probably be that IACV going bad...........i would not really worry to much about it though.....as long as it warms up and idles like normal it should be fine.

that's pretty normal, and the winter that northeast had this year no wonder it does that.
