i just wanted to hear some peoples opinions on what they think is a good cam gear to get a good amount of power and what they are set at.

 

The power you recieve from your cam gears is all in the tuning. Provided you don't buy some piece of trash slipping ones the power difference will all be in how much you advance or retard the cams. I like my Skunk2 gears, but as for telling you where to set yours, everyones wants and needs are different. You may want more upper-rpm power or more torque down low. Without knowing your current setup and what mods you've made no one can really offer any advice. Do some research on the gears you'll want (cough*skunk2, cough*) and get a reputable shop to tune them on a dyno.

 

well my buddy told me he would sell me his brand new inline pro cam gears and they have a good reputatoin but my current set up is stock gsr motor with skunk 2 intake manifold,full exhuast and intake in an ek but im looking for more power up top.

get cams to go with the gears.

 

word i was planning on it i just need to get some cash first haha and any recomendations for cams?
