Maintenance Required Light.
What's up with this maintenance required light? It just came on after I started my car after the first time I parked it when it hit 142k miles. Can it be cleared just like check engine codes? I got a scanner that can clear codes here at my house. Please don't tell me that I have to get screwed over by the dealer to get the light to go away.
All it does is tell you that youre at a certain mileage point for recommended maintenance, in your manual I think it tells you how to turn it off. You hold down the odo button or something, just look it up

only thing i looked at in the manual was the recommended scheduled maintainance mileages.

I'm friends with a tech at a Honda dealership, and I have the same damned light. He said all I had to do was call and ask how to turn it off myself and he'd tell me. Just give the dealership a call and ask nicely how to turn the light off
do this... 1. insert key in the ignition
2. push and hold the odometer reset button
3. while holding the odometer reset button turn the ignition key to "on" but dont start the car... hold in that position for 15 sec.
the maintance required light will flash a few times and then dissapear for good...good luck
