moroso oil pan. Added 5 qrts and STILL no reading on the dipstick

Default moroso oil pan. Added 5 qrts and STILL no reading on the dipstick

Like the topic says. 5 qrts without changing the oil filter and it didnt even register on the dipstick. What gives? I mean **** as if 5 qrts wasnt enough, now i need 1/2 quart or more? lol Different dipdtick maybe? I dunno. thanks to all that help me out provide info.

its probaby a combination of the size of the pan and maybe you need a longer dip stick for that pan........but 5 quarts should be enough.........

Put the drain plug back in. ;-) What is the capacity of that pan supposed to be?

You probably just need a longer stick (heh) to read the actualy capacity of that of that pan.

It is the height of the oil in the pan relative to the oil pump pickup that is important, the depth of the pan should not change that and thus, you should not need a different dipstick.

Moroso 5 quart oil pan. So 5 quarts.

Its at least 3inches deep. Before i installed my oil return line, the oil was overflowing through the fitting right after i dumped in the last quart. the oil pickup is more than deep in oil for sure.

The dipstick issue had me wondering...
