If you get one make sure that you get the one from the later models, I can't remember the years, but it's the one that have less rows on the intercooler. They flow better, they have larger tubes. The earlier models have smaller tubes, but more of them. The one you want, I think, has 14 rows in it. The onther has 16, I think. A good place to find the is on the DSM Trader. There they will usually list which intercooler it is, and how many rows.

That would be... the one which has been modified to have the in/outlets on the sides, which is what you need to do to use one.

oh oh I forgot to mention that I had the original holes sealed up. You can 'kinda' see them at the very bottom of the IC. And I had 2.25" od piping welded on to the sides.

Dean man, NICE car!! At first I saw the flip up headlights, and I thought of the older gen preludes...

Fix the pic links in your sig though I wanna check it out

Also, they're are a lot of intercoolers on ebay, and from sellers on here, that won't need to have the endtanks reworked. Remember you're not saving money if what you save on the intercooler is nullified by what you spend on labor. And you need someone pretty experienced to weld aluminum, from what I hear.

The SAAB Vigen IC fits great on the EG chassis. I just installed my 2nd one yesterday. All that is needed is to cut a tiny bit of sheet metal from the edge of the rad support and to move the radiator a little to the right. There is even a hole already positiond for the radiator braket that goes on the top. seems work great on my d16z6 w/ t25. 180ish at eh dealer, 120 wholesale cost.

i like mine. $15 at the pull it yard, endtanks reworked w/ larger pipes, welding for oilpan and hf manifold adapter plate was an extra $100. with that my starion was less than $100 total. i wouldn't spend more than $150 or so since you can get a tyrus fmic from http://www.johnnyracecar.com for pretty cheap.

I'm hoping to get pics this weekend, but I only cut one side of my Strion IC and just changed the direction that it goes to.

My compressor housing sits on the driver side, then a 6 inch pipe goes from the turbo to the IC ( stock inlet that makes a little 90* turn ), the I flipped the other longer stock IC pipe and ran it to the pass. fender well where it hooks to my Volvo BOV and goes up to the intake like a CAI system ( which is also an IC pipe off an old volvo ).

Like I said, hope to have pics this weekend. Stock bumper was cut as well as the steel beem thingy that's like a steel bumper, AND no A/C of course.

Im using a modified starion as well. Came in a package with my turbo and mani and has worked fine so far. Just dont spend to much becasue a johnnyracecar intercooler would be a lot nicer.
