I need to know how to replace the speed sensor cable in a 90 hatch and will a 90-93 Integra speed sensor cable work in its place?

 

To replace the speedo cable disconnect the cable from the back of the vss. Disconnect the other end from the vss. Remove cable. Install the new one and put everything back together. Not sure if the DA cable will work.

 

just replaced mine this past week. make sure after you disconnect the 2 ends you tie a rope to the tranny end. it will make things much easier. then just pull it through and out the dash. when you re-route it, it gets a little tricky going through the firewall, goes just behind the lower half of your center console. be sure you don't loose the clip at the tranny end. when you get the cable routed, put the clip on the VSS housing first, then just slide the cable into the tranny until you here it click, then give it a little tug to make sure that it is in its place............any questions, just pm me.

 

what black piece are you refering to.....the part that houses the radio and climate controls? let me know.....i have a extra one lying around at the house....
