AEM SRI or Injen SRI?
Hi, I have an 02 Accord and was wondering which sri to buy. Its a 4 cylinder motor and I don't expect much from it but since intakes seem to make gas more efficient, I have decided to buy one. Btw, the AEM is 120$ and the Injen is 140$ (I live in washington state so I have to get a sri or else I'll have to get a bypass vavle.) Post away your thoughts!
first off, dont waste your money. an ebay one with a nice filter (K&N hint hint) will do just fine. secondly search for basic stuff, or read the basic accord guide. you will save yourself time and money
Yep. Piping is piping, just match it with a good K&N cone filter with the right diameter, Autozone or Pep Boys can probably do that for you. If you feel creative you can paint it back and it will cool the intake charge.

intake have everything to do with what's coming out of the tailpipe, it's MUCH more complex than it looks.
the amount/restriction of air flow, how the incoming air atomized with the injected fuel, etc
so, does it change a thing from a emission stand point, yeah, but will you feel a damn thing beside the sounds and seemingly faster throttle response? probably not.
Most state will wouldn't give a crap about a little shiny intake and there's california(as well as other smog ****) where you could fine for 100+ for intake without a carb sticker and 600 for no cat. plus, you can't even pass the visual inspection when you doing a smog check.
ebay intake=35
K&N filter =35
intake ticket= 100+
that's sum up to a brand new AEm intake.
FUN
cliffnote: get an AEM shortram if you could afford it, get a used one to save a bit if you are low on cash
