mini-me question
I have a question about running a certain mini-me setup. I have a '90 crx Hf and plan on swapping in a jdm sohc zc motor. Then I plan on putting a y8 head on it. I read that this combination creates a 12.6:1 comp ratio. Can this mini-me run safely on stock internals and such? Does anyone else have this setup ? Please help! Anyfeedback appreciated! Thanks.
i'm not sure about that cr being right. is there a large difference between the d16a6 pistons and the sohc zc pistons? in the a6 this set up would be about 10.8:1. i know if the block has p29 pistons the cr you said would be about right but arent those only in the dohc zc?
i thought that the d16a6 and the sohc zc were the same thing. the dohc zc used p29 pistons that when put into the d16a6 bump the cr a lot. if the sohc zc and d16a6 bottom end are the same the cr would be about 10.8:1 with the d16y8 head.
