Default ITR setups

Im doing soem research on some ITR setups. I am going with teh C5 instead of the C1 because you get so much more out of it for the price. This is for street setup instead of the drag strip.

I found out that a few people are just using i/h/e and a chipped kenji ECU and are making close to 190whp. Anything else that could possiblly bump it up closer to 200whp? I was thinking a bigger fuel pump and injectors...more fuel more power... and maybe porting the head soem more?

Is there anythign else that can be done to increase power without messing with the internals (cams, pistons?)

make sure you get a REALLY good header.

like the hytech production header. its out and sub - $800. a good header is the foundation to much power.

then, i would send the throttle body to MaxBore. $100 and you get bascially a spoon-spec throttle body. very good deal.

and then there is the intake manifold. you can buy the AEBS manifold for cheap, and it makes power, but i have heard it looks like ****. Or you can get your stock manifold extrude honed. i have heard that makes good power also.

also a set of cam gears. there might be some power out of messing with the gears.

with all this, i think 310's would be a good idea. get it tuned well and it should be powerfull and reliable. "mild" i guess would be the word.

thats pritty much it without breaking into the motor.

Thanks. But if you do know, will a bigger fuel pump or injectors propel more power on stock ITR (i/h/e with chipped ECU)
