hey guys

im looking at a 91 hatch that already has d16y7 in it...belongs to a friend

he also has a ZC layin arounf

i coulld get the car for 1000 with y7 in it

should i keep the y7... or spend another 500 and swap the zc in?

does he y7 have potential in a hatch? or am i better off with the ZC... i live in california too so..smog will rape me....

and $$$ wise my budget is = 1500 max (after i purchase the car)

which has less miles? i imagine the y7 is lighter if you care about weight? to put the zc in will cost more. i'd go with the y7. it is about 22 lower on hp though.

 

you could always sell the zc

 

i would go with the zc over the y7 but if you go with the zc you should get it reffed so you dont have to worry about findin a smog shop that will pass the zc

 

the y7 i think would be better. i forget what its from now but a z6 head would be good for it.

 

y7 + z6 head would be just as good if not better then the zc

 

In case you didn't know, the Y7 is basically just a newer D16A6.
