Ill admit one thing..i'm a car tuning afficianado..Im just a simple college kid looking for a decent RSX that will hopefully catch the eye of many chiks and be fun to drive...I have no plans to add any aftermarket parts...or do anything to the car

I live in so-cal and looking to buy a base model RSX (auto) with cloth

I've visited a dealer (Power-acura) and they told me 300 above invoice, tax of course but im not tooo sure about destination...hate dealers..the ambiguity pisses me off

oh well so im wondering...im putting 10k down of my own $$..co-signing the loan w/ mom who has perfect credit..should I go under invoice?

what is the best way to negogiate? Any tips? The last thing i need to feel is that I could have paid less..and every penny counts for me....

First off base only comes w/ cloth.

I dont know if you should go under invoice. Its definately a possibility. The best way to negotiate is simply be firm on what you want. Tell them straight out. There are plenty of dealers out there, so they'll try to work with you.

is that an 05 thing? my 03 base came with leather

 

Around invoice plus tax and title is usually a pretty fair price for a mass produced car. You may want to check out http://www.edmunds.com there you can find out almost exactly what dc's are doing for in your area of the county. This shouldnt be a hard fought deal and if you finace through American Honda the dealer doesnt make any "points" on the financing.

auto and manual bases both have the option of leather.
standard = cloth if thats what j00 were tryin to get at

i just purchased my 05 a while ago. Picked it up at valencia acura. dont know if its the same as power. But all u have to do is offer invoice or 100 over because im not sure they are gonna let it go for less than what they get it for. and since your putting alot down, ask for something extra, like wheel locks, fog lights, or even an extended warrenty. I was able to get my type-s for 22,000 which was like 500 over invoice(checked invoice on edmunds before i bought it) they also threw in wheel locks and mudguards for free. i also got extended warrenty for 7 years 100,000 miles for an extra 1400. So i got all with tax, etc. for about 24-25k. Which is the normal sticker price for a type s...
