Default Rattling noise from the back of the car...

I thought I saw a thread on this a while back but now I can't find it!

The rattling sounds like it's coming from the exhaust... at low speeds and low rpm... I'm not really concerned right now unless anyone can tell me why I should be...

I've just recently acquired this rattling problem also. I think it's the notorious rattling from the hatch problem I hear so much about. Darn my warranty just ended not too long ago too. *annoying*

my hatch rattles too, depends on the temperature and the humidity. I brought it in, and they temporarily alleviated the problem. the rattle came back, though.

This sounds like a heat shield.

I've never heard of the hatch rattling. I had a pretty bad rattle in the back of my R, but it was from my Apex N1.. If you guys have aftermarket exhaust make sure the piping is not hitting anything.

Actually our POS Integras' hatches do tend to develop a rattle after a while. What do you expect for an econocar?

My mothers 95 Honda Accord used to from the exhaust when shes parking (ie low speeds).

They took out one of the outer shells of the tip thingy.. (excuse my lack of terminology) and it fixed the problem, although it looks rather horrible now.

Exhaust now looks something like this -> (o) (o) to this -> o (o)

yup... mines rattled too, but i readjusted the rubber hangers so that they were not hitting the chassis. the hangers look like (oIo) factory hook points are in the "o's" but i moved it to one of the "I" points (sorry i dont have a pic... use your imagination)

On a side note... I don't think it's the hatch... i've never heard of this either... but it could be the hatch i guess... what is the hatch problem??? how is it resolved?

Thanks.

I had a rattle in the rear of my R for a while...You may want to grease the exhaust hanger rubbers. I know it sounds stupid, but thats what I did to mine (The muffler section was antidisestablishmentarianismed sideways in its rubber mount, so I had to lube it to fix it.)
No more rattle!
