i think i blew my engine
I have a 1990 acura integra ls with a jdm b18b in it. I recently took out the short ram and installed a cold air intake. It has been raining since about 7 oclock and at 9 oclock i was driving up my friends street and it started making this weird noise when I would step on the gas. I would step on that gas and it would seem like the engine would rev up and smoke would pour out the back of my car. Are these signs of hydrolocking?
BTW I dont have a water bypass valve on the intake.
Any help would be great. My car has never done this until I drove my car with a CAI in the rain.
Thanks

What you are thinking of is hydrolocking, had this happened you woul definately have known it. As for the smoke, what does it look like? Black is unburnt fuel, Bluish gray is oil, and white is condensation/or coolant after the car is warmed up completely
yea you prolly didnt hydrolock your motor you were just burning water due to your intake, lol,, you just steamed cleaned you motor...(what seafoam does)..lol....IMO just run the SRI, its safer
