I was thinking about investing into a GE block and put with a STOCK GSR head. will it pass emission? this might sound like a dumb question but what do you guys think. Im also going with 11.0-11.5 compresssion ratio to. Maybe stock cams for now or ITR cams for later. still doing some research still.. but its going to be a
all motor build up into a 90 CRX DX which is my lil sis car.

 

theoretically, any built motor should be able to pass emissions with the correct tuning. now, if you're talking about the visual inspection like some states have, then i dunno. we aint got that there lookin-at inspection here in ohio.

a friend of mine just had problems passing his mostly stock GSR motor because the compression was over 11.5:1, I think its NOX that ends up being really high becase of all the heat that is created in the combustion chamber. The only thing you could try do to is run denatured alcohol in your gas tank, it makes the car run cleaner, also you could try running a colder spark plug.
