I live in Chicago where winters can be pretty rough on cars and this past winter my door handle broke. in half. And now i need to replace the drivers side handle. I dont have keyless entry or a reliable enough alarm at this point to swap rear door handles in so I do need one with a cylinder. The thing is, I read on this forum that it should cost between $25-40 direct from Honda. I called 4 different dealerships around here and got 4 different prices. All of them ranging from at least $76 up to $96. I think its a little ridiculously priced for a door handle. None of the local auto parts stores carry them either. Is there any option other then the net? And if I do have to go through the net does anyone know of a good reliable place to get parts like this? Thanks in advance.

 

I got mine for 36 bucks<EK Civic> from Space Coast Honda http://www.spacecoasthonda.com/en_US/ . I guess you just have to keep shopping around. Eventually you will find a dealership that will hook you up.
