Default CRX B16 1/4 mile run

On average.....what should a CRX B16 run the 1320' at? 14's high 13's? Mine has an Edelbrock GSR TB, Skunk 2 intake Mani, 4-1 DC's, OBX 3'' intake, Iridiums (13 bucks a piece,,,,its worth mentioning ha).....what do you guys think?

Anywhere from low 14's to 16's Run it and find out. Every setup is different. There are too many variables. Weather conditions, track conditions, car setup, driver skill etc.

He said it best....you never know until you run it. Your compression might be off or might be higher then normal...to many differant things come into play. On avg I have seen a B16 crx w/intake/header exhaust normal run mid to low 15's. But I have seen a few in the mid to high 14's. Just have seen more "tuning" or driver issues then not.

Also tires and rim size do play a big part in this as well since if you don't get traction or have to heavy of a rim you aren't going to get anywhere.

The best I did after three runs was 15.2 with B16a and CAI only. This was with stock wheels so know traction in 1st or second. I know my traction sucked cause it would chirp when changing gears from 3rd to 4th at 90mph. I had the phantom grip at the time, don't laugh it actually worked!

Best upgrade i've done was go OBD1 with a Chipped P28 computer. Increased torque and HP drastically. I drive it alot more now =D
I'm thinking i will be in high 14's if i strip it down. Dynoing it tomorrow, will find out!!

I ran a 15.5 with a WW RS polyurethane bodykit added. Had the same chirp in 4th. This was my first time ever at a track.

My roommate ran a 12.9 in his gutted 88 HF. OBD-0 B16, Skunk 2 Intake Mani, DC Header, Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust and a NX 75-shot on 22" slicks. He was clicking off 1.8's in the 60ft and spinning thru 4th...lol. All on Ebay lowering springs and blown stock struts.

i ran a 13.9 with a 2.3 60 foot full interior Si, half tank of gas, and a 150lb driver on P185's. But we came to figure that i had a freak motor ... there is no explanation to this day how but the motor is in the process of selling...

I would've expected a b16 crx to be able to average 15's flat. EM1 Si's average mid 15's already.

I run a 16.2 consistently. I am in Colorado so I hope that is the problem.

B16 SIR1 OBD0 LSD tranny, DC Sports Header, NGK plugs, Accel Wires, crappy aftermarket cat back exhaust.
