Default New tranny

It is a good thing to have that new part feeling again. After 160,000km of track/street use, I decided to replace my tranny with a brand new one, this way avoiding an eventual rebuild and still able to sell it for a decent price.

What I did discover this time when all was off.......

the OE clutch kits are not as good as I thought.....less than 50,000km and the springs are all loose again....and digging into the holders.
The p.plate still looks new however and this disc has good meat on it.
The weak point being the springs....

The pilot bearing, which was replaced last time, was completely toast.....

My flywheel , despite no drag launches ( well as far as I can remember), has spotting marks on it, but the machining marks from 50,000km ago, were still quite visible.

Anyhow, the gears engage quite nice again, the pedal is super soft again ( the way it should be) and I have no noises.

I am ready for the season!

Maybe it's time to venture into the world of aftermarket clutches and flywheels
