99 ACCORD / CUTS OUT ? ? Garage says its the clutch??
99 Accord Sedan / 2.3 L Had my car at the shop today. It would cut out after intinitial start up. Click the ignition a few times and it start. Started cold fine. When it was hot, it would stall/ cut out as soon as the ket was let off. Garage says its the clutch. I say its electrical. They want over $1000 to fix. I'm still driving it but don't know how long this problem will take before it gets worse. Car runs great when it runs/ Clutch will stop the engine / there is no slippage as I can tell. Is this electrical? I love my Accords but I hate the Feckin dealerships!!!
Whoa... kinda got a headache trying to read that....
Let me make sure I read everything correctly. Your problem is that when the engine is already warmed up, and you go to start the engine, as soon as you release the key from the "crank" position the car immediately dies. Is this correct?
Take it to a different shop and get a second opinion. To me, it sounds more like an ignition switch problem. Possibly even the main relay, although the symptoms seem to be a little bit different.

I could be almost 100% certant that its not you clutch. Its either going to be the electrical portion of the ignition switch or a fpr. Some cars would develop whats called heat soak and the fpr would need to be replaced to help prevent this.
