To those with AN-R Header...
For those who are running an AN-R header(either standard or compact)... what did everybody do for a flange to connect header to testpipe? As you know the AN-R doesnt come with a flange. I got a stainless compact header... and I'm runnin full stainless exhaust. I cannot find a 2.5" 2-bolt stainless flange anywhere. I can find 3-bolt ones all day long. I would like to still use the 2-bolt so I can still disconnect it from the testpipe. Anyone have any ideas??? If anyone has pics of their setup too that would be great. Thanks!!!

i welded a flex pipe onto it and connect it to a test pipe with a 2.5" 2-bolt flange.

Im running a flex pipe and its connected to my RSR GTII exhaust. it pretty much bolted right up the guy kinda put the flange on the flex pipe a lil cockeye'd but i cant complain. Flex pipe and flange plus labor $25
flex pipe is not a must. i rolled around with the header for over a year and a half and over 80 passes at the track. not a single crack. i got the flex pipe since im gettin traction bars and Some stiff hasport mounts.

I'm always one up on you.S.K. HA HA
Its ok to weld steel to S.S..And the flange on your header is steel.also.

i guess maybe i should wait till i actually recieve the header(anytime now!!!), and see if the flex will be needed. id rather not run it unless i have to. thanks for the opinions... keep them coming!!!

I think its a safe bet to say that if RMF says you should use one its probably a good idea, especially when referring to these headers of course.
hehe...ya he pm'ed me about them....what i left out is im running aftermarket motor mounts and the engine moves very little....only way you can run it without flex pipe is if you have solid motor mounts so there is no flex

I have a 3" collector on my AN-R header. I had a 3" flex pipe welded on to the downpipe of the header. I am also running a Thermal 3" exhaust which came with a weld on flange that I welded on the flex pipe. It all bolts together very nicely. I'll try and post some pics later today.
I picked up a stainless flange from a local muffler shop, and had a friend weld it on for me. (My ANR is the stainless version).
Also, many people don't use flex pipes with their ANR's, but I chose to use one, because of the stiff HA Sport mounts.
