Earlier today, a tree branch fell on my car. The branch fell off of my neighbors tree, and I don't really know him too well. I was wondering if in any way, he would be responsible for the damages. They are very minor, and the most he would have to pay for if anything would be a detail job on my paint.
I want to see if I can buff it out first though, on my own, so that I won't come off as being an *******. If I rub the scratches on my car with my finger, they seem to come off, so I'm thinking I could use a buffing machine which is available to me right now.
Questions:
1. If I decide to try to buff it out, are there any compounds I should use?
2. After I buff the scratches out, is there any follow ups I should do for my paint
such as wax, etc.,
On a side note, I am very very **** about my car, so the most gentle compouds are what I am looking for. Honda-Tech, please help me!

knock on his door and tell him politely that his tree hit ur car, and he should cover the minor damages explame, compounds plus labor for doing it
hm, if it was on his property then he is some what liable i think.
I know this. For instance. If you have a tree on your property and there is a thunderstorm and one of the branchs fall in the middle of street and DPW comes and clean's up they will bill you for it, because you are responsible for the tree being that it's on your property.
