Hey guys im newbie here just got a 93 del sol. and want to know what the best engine swap is for the car. Im going to order my kit and Z3 fenders and carbon fiber hood next week. After that im going to order some rims hopefully but september i can do the engine swap so i want to know what to save for. Yes i read the sticky post about the swaps just want to get your opinions for the best swap that is not too hard to do and can get up there with the GT's and Camaro's. Thanks ahead of time. your opinions woud be very helpfull even on the body kit type and were to get it. Thanks

 

why wait until september. forget about the bodykit and fenders and put that money toward a swap go with a type r motor IMO. just my 2cents though bro. good luck with ur project

rims nothing bigger than 16

 

wait to get your swap until you have every blinging exteriour part known to man. it's no fun being fast unless everyone around you THINKS your fast.

 

if u want to stay n/a buy the type R
if u want to go turbo buy the gsr and use the other grand u save for the turbo kit.
keep the exterior as stock looking as possible, nice and clean

 

How much woud the engine cost me?
Why dont you guys like the kit and fenders?
maybe just kit no fenders and carbon fiber hood?

 

a majority of this community is biased toward "stock" or clean looking appearance mods. z3 fenders/flashy bodykits/neon lights/etc. aren't going to win you compliments here...just a different fan base. but like anyone can tell you, it's your car, do what you want. just don't expect alot of approving comments.

around $3k for a gsr and prolly $4-5k for a R motor.......

 

i would build a poor mans type are. thats what im gonna do in the summer. you will prob be spening like 2k for your body kit to look right and prob another 1k for the rims. thats enough for a gsr swap
