CRX 4 channel wiring
Saw a clean setup a guy did where he put his amps in the flip up security thing behind the seats, anyone else done this? Is there a ground near by or did you use the strut tower, also how much is involved with running the wires from the speakers back to there instead of them running to the dash/head unit.

Yes I have..its a very easy and cool way to do it. Also if your really talented you can make a new panel that "flushes" the amp in quite nicely.

Well there is plenty of good bare metal that can be used as a ground point..
just remove that cover..just be careful not to poke the gas tank...its directly
belove that storage space.

Yes there is a way...its called a jump around. Here is how you do it.
a. pull the radio. ( I hope there is an adaptor harness used...)
b. take rear speaker lines and connect to front speaker wires.
- the radio wont power anything...these wires are what feed into the car.
c. remove rear speakers and disconnect speaker lines from them.
- these are now your front spkr wires. connect new spkr wire to them
and run them to your amp's location.
d. get another pair of spkr cable and connect the rear speakers to them.
-run these new lines to amp.
e. have a drink..your speakers are now all connected..and you didnt run lines
throughout the car...not that its a bad thing.

I didn't even think of using the rear lines like that, much easier than having to run new lines to the front. And its a really short distance to the rears, what material did you use for the panel you mounted your amps on? There isn't a ton of room in there so it would have to be fairly thin.
