Alright, I got my car towed home the night before last and didn't know what the problem was. So I set up a new post yesterday getting some information on what to check. Many responded with checking the distributor. So I did that. It turns out that the rotor on the distributor came unscrewed. I screwed it back on an fired the engine, SUCCESS I thought. It idled fine for a few minutes and ran fine too just until I turned the corner on my block.

The car drove fine for about 100ft then I felt a surge and the car started to loose power with me providing more pressure on the gas pedal. the I let off to slow down and it idled fine. So I figured I better take it back home or I'll be calling a tow truck again. Once again i turned to corner on to my street it drove fine just for another 100ft and I got the same occurance. But this time it didn't idle, it just died. I went to fire it and I couldnt get it to start again. So I just pushed it back home. When I got home it started fine again.

Anyone know what these symptoms suggest? I need help!!! It's my daily driver and I don't what to start driving it again and then have to get it towed back home.

I have an 88 CRX with a ZC swap if that helps any.

 

Did you re-check the distributor?

 

Yup sure did! I tightened everything up and made sure that there was nothing wrong.

Anyone else with any ideas?
