Question about gas/temp gauge???

Default Question about gas/temp gauge???

I messed up my gas/temp gauge when I was taking my indiglo gauges off. I ordered a new one and recieved it today. I was wondering how I install it.

Here is a pic of the gauge I got:


Here is the back of it:
What do put in the holes?

Here is a pic of someone elses gauge cluster:

Would it be the srews on the left that I unscrew? Mine does not have the plastic cover, I think that has it because it is for an automatic.

yep the screws on the left and three that are under the cover. They hold the gauge in and make electrical connection to them through those holes. Don't tighten them down super tight either.

Well that gauge cluster in the picture in an automatic one. Mine car is 5-speed and I dont have that plastic cover. If there are the 3 exposed and the 3 under the cover what are the 2 extra holes for on the guage?
