alternator fitment

does anyone happen to know if all the D series alternators are interchangable? ive got an EF D15B2

Yes they are interchangable (mostly). However, they have a different number of teeth on the belt. A Z6 alternator has 3 teeth (grooves) while my old d15b1 alternator had only 2. If you put the pulley from the alternator on your d15b2 onto lets say a Y8, Y7, Z6, etc alternator it should work. I'm not too sure about D17 alternators.
