somthing is up with my rims what should i do?

looks like the same thing that happens to alot of stock vw wheels... i forget exactly what its called.

prep em and paint em
and do something cool with the lip

looks like your clearcoat is wearing off. Get some sandpaper and work on them, polish them out. Take off the existing clearcoat entirely and leave it or take it off and apply a new clearcoat.

move to the west coast to prevent that salt damage crap hahaha jk paint them..powdercoat them...but i would get them all polished and then powdercoated clear to protect the surface.

..yeah like he said...if that is road salt damage...you shoud get those painted or re-clear those. That is why it is necessary to "winterize"(put the steelies on) your ride. dont roll your good rims in the nasty snow.

i have never seen snow in my live where i live. It the outer banks man! i have ocean water all around me. When it dose snow its only like a inch if that. Or the snow dosent stick. The only salt i get it ocean salt and alot of it.

I don't think thats what he couldn't remember, I think the name of the condition thats happening to the wheel is what he was trying to think of...

before you do ANYTHING how old are these wheels? RH has a 1 year warranty on flaking clearcoats and will send you a brand new set of wheels if still under warranty

Im getting new rotors very soon

They are past the 1 year and i bought them used
I just started sanding about 30 mins ago and i have goten about 2 spokes dont but they look GOOD AS ****!

My friend has some wheels just like those. I fixed the curb checks and clearcoat chipping for him last week. It took 4 hours in all.
