Default what better long or short

hey whats up fellas im new to the forum here,and just wanted to ask a few questions...
i have DA and my engine blew two weeks ago,now im going to her give a new heart but im not sure wich one can you guys give me the pros and the cons,of a short block and a long.im thinking a gsr

Ok, the terms long and short block just refer to what the block comes with. A short block will not have a head or manifold, just the block. A long block will come with the head and possibly the manifold.

yup. Shorts blocks are for like a ls/vtec build. Are those your plans? Long blocks would be like a direct replacement. Keep your tranny .

The pro of a longblock is that its not a shortblock.
The con of a shortblock is that its not a longblock.
