Default how can i avoid increasing insurance rates from accidents

i got in an accident which was my fault, the TOTAL damage is way over the $750 limit with at which my insurance company begins to raise rates.

my total from my estimate was about 6000, but a LOT of it was from painting, fixing scratches....

the main repair i am wanting to do is fixing the bumper and doing whatever it takes so the hood shuts right, i dont care about all the paint and scratches

is there a way i can go thru insurance still and not have rates go up? like get them to only cover for an amount under 750? while ignoring the rest of the damage?

Stop Driving!
The ins co's work with the state to tract your license. They will find out.

the first thing to avoid increasing insurance rates would be to stay out of accidents.

since you already got into an accident, you are free to not fix it, which of course costs you nothing. or you can pay for everything out of pocket. or you can do something in between doing nothing, and going all out.

as far as the accident itself, your insurance company will likely find out, regardless of whether you file a claim or not. i would imagine that the other party will file a claim against you...

if the damage is under 750 and even at your fault, it would not affect your ins rate.
in this case, your damage is well over 750 and your fault, therefore, expect to pay more for your ins rate. there's no other around.

Well, I had a guy hit me and dented up my hood. He wouldnt admit it, so it was labeled a hit and run and my rates didnt go up. cost to fix was $1200.00 .. but if your the cause of the accident, then rates are prob. going up for sure .. best thing to do in that situation would be to not let the insurance company know in the first place. You cant have insurance pay for ur own mistake and then expect the rates not to go up.
