Installed Portable DVD Player in 95 si but no volume? PLEASE HELP!
i have a pioneer deh p7300 deck installed in my 95 si, i just installed a little portable dvd player in the car...i used the adaptor that goes from rca's to an earphone plug...i plugged the rca's into the a/v jacks in the back of the deck and the other end into the 'audio' hole of the portable dvd player, then i changed my deck to AUX and you can bearly hear the sound. so i tried putting the earphone end into the 'earphone' hole on the dvd player, still nothing. i even tried to plug the rca's to the amp in my car but still nothing. what do i have to do to get sound? there are other rca inputs available on my deck like 'hands free' and 'telephone' should i try using these or what? thanks for any help!
yeah, i just heard that you can use an fm modulator but i'd rather it play through the 'aux' source. anyone have suggestions?
anyone? how can we get sound from the portable dvd player through the car speakers?

yes, i have volume all the way up on the dvd player and the deck volume at like 20 and it plays really low with a schreeching sound, i'm gonna check my wiring again just to confirm.

True...but it also depends on the quality of the unit. I did a similar set up with some
whack low buck jobby of a player and i just could not get sound above a whisper.
(even with the headphones only it was bad). I wish them luck.

so does anyone know why we would be getting low to no sound from plugging the portable dvd player into the head unit? (Headphone side in 'audio' rca's in red and white a/v jacks on back of deck) thanks again!
I have my dvd player plugged into the auxillary and i can turn off the sound on my pioneer deck by turning it all the way down but i cannot make it louder the sound only stays at one level once you try to turn it up. It does come out of the car speakers though but only on the right side I have no clue what the problem is but i think it might be the fact that i need a better head unit??? I am not for sure though?
