12's with 181whp?
Several weeks ago we went to the track for a test and tune session. Personal best was a 12.97 @ 107mph on BFG d/r's with a 2.0 60'. I just find it unusual for a 2300lbs. CRX si to go that fast with only 181whp. Please post some times and whp for comparison. Thanx.
I trapped 106 all day on my old 91 si @ 2170 pds(w/out driver and full tank) on a stock 98 spec ITR longblock w/bolt ons. I think our highest #'s on a dynojet was 185/131. And this was on an b16 S1 tranny w/ quaife lsd, on 225/50/15 bfg's and a 1.9 60ft. My best time was a 12.90.

The mph was what surprised me as well. Although on slicks it should dropped 2-3.

It went 8.4 @ 87mph in the 1/8th. Due in part to the B20's healthy torque figures. I think it was somewhere in the mid 140's.

holy ****, thats a good time for you power output.
i was thinking it's gonna be real hard to crack a 12.9 with 2.0 60 with around 230whp in my 2300-pound 2000 Si.

i've seen a few fwd cars nudge into the 12s with 106mph traps, so your mph looks on par with your time IMO.
181whp, but how much torque? if you have a B20, its pretty believable, since you'd be making more torque than a regular 1.8L. You could have hit a sweet spot in your combo too (gearing, tire size, and powerband).

Sounds hella fast for that power....congrats.
But your CRX weighs 2300lbs ??? Is that w/ driver ? My DX EG hatch weighs 2200lbs with interior....I'd figure the CRX would be lighter by a bit.

The 12.9 is possible but what is weird is you 60ft. With only 2.0 you must have lot's of speed going down the straight. We had en ek with itr engine and bolt ons which did 13.2 with mickey thompsons 20 8 14 but with 60ft's of 1.8 consistent.
he had only 210 engine hp. How much whp is that ??? His car wheighs 2400 so if you made his car 2300 he could get into the 12's.
