im thinking about buying a shell to drop a friends motor into the car. have the tranny and motor just sitting in his garage. i came upon a shell on craigslist and checked it out. everything seems good. any other tips or help you guys can give me before i purchase this shell? anywhere i should look for possible "frame damage" "front end damage" "alignment" etc... it is a rolling shell. i popped the inner panels, looked beneath the car, inspected it well... any other places i need to look? check the carfax and things are clean. just let me know what tips you guys have for me. thanks.

nah. not anymore. just in the process of buying it and im looking at it throughout the days. bump

 

its hard to spot minor frame damage and wrong alignment with your eye, especially if it was "straightened" out, meaning to make it look good

 

Just really look it over really good before you buy it.
