Default SI Theft attempt yesterday

every ******* day another honda on HT disappears! well i always use a autolock, a club going from my handbrake to the stick shift, kiill switch and good clifford alarm system. i always park in a garage overnight. im at school, i come out to see that the rubber **** around my door is all torn off. the rubber between the window/body of hte car is torn off, and the plastic between the rear window and front window is removed! i filed a police report, cop states its the first step to auto theft! **** this ****, im not putting another penny into my car untill i get a beater. this happened yesterday in broad damn daylight! everybody keep an eye out, no matter where u are....what security **** u have, nothing will stop them. luckily no damage was done to the body of the car, and my alarm surprisingly didnt go off!!!

Sounds like you need to turn up the sensitivity of your motion and or shock sensor prewarn and alarm if it dident go off.

My prewarn on my stuff is VERY sensative, you breath on her shell give you a nice hello, but anything more then that the alarm will go off....

you should get the clutch club i guess u call it...hmm i never heard or seen a club for the handbrake to the shifter b4??

what you should do to be on the safe side is to disable both your doors so that the manual open/lock switch doesnt work and relocate the auto switch that opens both doors to like under the dash or seat or somewhere where its hard to see and find...so this way if they try to do wut they did to ur car it wouldnt matter bcuzz they cant open your doors unleses they can pull on the metal piece that you took off from door lock switch...and since u have automatic door lock system its the best way...o yea get new door caps wit shaved key holes very good..i dunno if u understand wut im tryin to say but if u do then its a very very good idea

Yeah, can anyone explain that club between the hand brake and shifter idea? That sounds like a REALLY good idea.

I was thinking about one of these for my car. I'm not sure how it works on a standard though, I guess it just holds it in first?

Yea this is what I did. My locks don't work on the inside and i use my alarm to unlock the doors. The shaved key holes is a good idea but what if ur power went out, you'd be screwed.

you buy a steering wheel club, and u put it between the stick shift and the handbrake. some cars it doesnt work, but the si is designed good for it. just put ur hand brake up and extend the club to go from ur stickshift to hte handbrake. i will get on PAINT after i get out of class and take a pic for my fellow honda tech members. so if they try to tow ur car, they cant put ur handbrake down. i also turnb my wheel all the way so its even harder to jack.

Yeah, I got that. I was looking into the shift lock that I put the link for above for a while now. The thing is, I've only seen it on autos, so it holds it into park. Do you put this on while your car is in 1st? It'd be sweet on a german car, because reverse is up instead of down. I'd figure they could just still drive it if it was in gear, just not very fast.

that thing with the shift to the handbrake isnt much, all you have to do is spin the shift **** off, and game over.
