Default break pad install question

after i flip my caliper over and place the new pads on , i know that i need to push back that caliper cylinder.. well i was wondering instead of just removing the screw to let the break fuild out so it would be easier to push in..can i just go ahead and try to hammer it in without having to bleed it ? Just trying to find a quick way to do this without getting my hands dirty

use a c-clamp with one of the old pads and push the piston back in you dont have to let any brake fluid out but i wouldnt hammer it back in you should be able to go and get a c clamp for about $5 from you local auto parts store

buy a c clamp and push the piston back in. It is still a good idea to bleed the brakes so that you make sure you have no air in the lines
