so i have a 88 si and want to use a 89 si engine harness , i don't have the 88 one
i noticed the 89 harness is different on the drivers side has a white plug that is supposed to plug into the body harness i think, and on the 88 si there is nothing there for it to plug into, is there a way to make this harness work.

i used a 91 Si harness on a 88 HF so you should be good, i ended up with an extra plug also, but if im not mistaken those wires are for a sensor that is on the back of the 88 manifold that the 89-91's dont have, not sure though

I would say it should work. Just look at the wiring see if they connect before installing it on the motor. Then check to see if colors are going to the correct places. I would say yes.

what's different? Why can't you repin the 14 wire plugs near the shock towers?

I remember exactly getting the harness from a 88 crx si in the junkyard a while ago. You can even do a search and find my old post about selling the harness. Nobody wanted to buy it because its a 88 harness and its totallly different from the 89-91 si harness. Are the connectors not matching up or something, let me know. I'm in no way trying to burn you man I don't do business like that.

i hear ya its a mistake most people make , the drivers side connectors are wrong ,
that is the visual difference , not only that all the other wiring is different but the connectors are the same,
on the harness you sent the connector on the drivers side is big and round the 88 si's had a small square one similar to the resistor pack connector

I'll refund you your money if you want. Just send the harness back. Sorry about the convension even though I"m still confused because I remember taking the harness from a 88 crx si. I helped my buddy pull the engine out of the crx si at the junkyard. But, yeah just let me know what you want to do. My pm isn't working right now because I"m at work and they have it disabled or something...
