I know to get the response I want it'll be difficult - but I figured the best place to start with it all would be this forum.

After the NDRA Phoenix event, I thought of ways to help bring more attention and exposure to drag racing. Ryan B (Slowwhites2k) went ahead and got our NOPI coverage up right away for everyone to check out. It's just the little things we can do to help promote drag racing and all the racers that bust their *** to put on a show.

In the next month, our web programmer will be designing a new editorial section for drag racers. I have already received interest from several people and I would really like to reach out to more. It'll basically be free reign to speak your mind, post tidbits - your racing experiences, past and present... what you're working on, building on, etc. I really think it could work out well if there are enough people that are willing to dedicate some time and effort to help make it grow.

I'd like some feedback what you guys would like to see with this section, pros and cons of launching this sorta thing, etc. We're really here to offer something back to the racers and hopefully promote a whole new outlet to the e-viewers out there.

Any interest? Hopefully so... otherwise I'll just start bugging you

 

sounds REMOTELY similar to what modified was doing with the racer blogs.

I dig the idea especially if you can get the right people involved!

I can't see any downsides to it (other than possible drama starting from someone stating their opinion on the site and someone else taking offense)

 

Nah, won't be too much blog style - but more on articles and editorials. Much like what allmotorgurl posted down below. Stuff like that.

Modified's still doing the racer's blog - make sure you read and check them out. Those guys deserve heavy support.

Great idea. I've always felt that we need a more centralized area for this sort of talk. Honda-Tech is great but we're talking about Sport Compact racing as a whole, I think there are a lot of people who don't post here because they don't realzie this discussion is going on, if there is a more tuner/industry based forum or area of discussion then more will be willing to post.

I like the idea as well. I have been working double time to try and get the members at my website more involved and out to more races. I would love to provide what ever help that I can, so feel free to shoot me an email.

its a great idea, nhra and nopi sites don't have enough updated info.

 

I think this is a great idea. Most magazines just have a couple of pages drag racing related mostly filled up with pictures, and that's it.

 

Do you foresee any Canadian support?
