i have been for two weeks and am still not sure what car i can get a harness off of that will plug into the motor harness, ive found that i can use 92-93 integra or 92-95 civic ecu plugs and solder them onto my existing stock harness setup if i add a few extra wires to the plugs

can anyone confirm my findings i would like to get the rest of the necessary parts to get this swap underway

thanks to all who respond

might as well convert to obd1 it's easier. i have a B17a motor but opted to go with a sohc-v. just easier for me to solo the swap. i can move a sohc-v but not a B17. don't feel like paying someone to do it when i should be able to do it myself.

-edit-
just need the 88-91 helms, and 90-93 helms and look under electronics. find out what colors match and match them up. easier to get both plug sides, and leave the engine harness uncut. so from that point on you can use any OBD1 engine, and don't have to mess with wires.

I converted to OBD-1 using a harness from user "Blown90Hatch". You need to buy a 4-wire o2 sensor. Is your car a DX? If so you have to convert it to multi-point fuel injection (run 2 wires from the ECU). Use your stock CRX engine harness and just add/extend the wires/plugs where needed. If you need any more help PM me, I just did this swap a couple weeks ago

If i were you, i take off the obd1 harness and use your original obd0 harness while just using some of the original plugs by repinning them to fit sensors on the engine. Yes, you'll need and obd harness.

I wouldnt even try it. Not worth the time and effort.

Use the harness that came with the car and if u wanna stay obd-0, then get a first gen B16 distributor and ecu. Hopefully u have a SI crx, because it will make it a lot easier. Do a search for B16 swap and basically follow that. The info is readily available all over the place.

lol
1. USE YOUR ORIGINAL HARNESS
2. PURCHASE CONVERSION HARNESS
3. GET 4- WIRE O2 SENSOR
4. GET P30 ECU
5. KEEP B17 DZZY...REPIN IT
IT'LL BE ALL GOOD

You could try, but for the time it's going to take you might as well buy one...plus if there's something wrong with the connections it's guaranteed. Do you really want to be sitting there wondering why your car's not starting and going over connections over and over and over again?
