HeLp...Car wont start now that a system was put in????

Ok heres the deal my GF had a amp and bass tube installed by her brother about a week ago and things were fine with it. Now today the car wouldnt start so I thought it was the battery but when she disconected the power wire to the battery the car started right up? I dont really know to much about this stuff so any help would be great and yea her brother cant fix it cause he doesnt live around here and was only here for the weekend. THanks

Dead short to ground maybe? Check the entire length of the power wire and make sure there aren't any screws through it or anything like that... I'd start there...

yah check all grounds and connections something must of slipped out. or is loose considering it was working for a week.

we checked all the wires and they were ok and checked to make sure the amp and headuint were blown. still ok but there was no power going to the amp from the headunit???
