Default *Sigh* Yet another camber kit topic. (Searched)

Yes, here is another camber kit topic. So shoot me.

I've been looking around for some camber kits for my 91 crx lowered 2 inches (some no name springs). I came across this link http://store.racinglab.com/ho88cispsuca.html and was wondering if thats a half-way decent kit. Its quite expensive, but im tired of going through tires. Ive also PM'ed Camp1320 or someone like that about camber kits he sells, so hopefully it's good quality. If you have any other links where i can get a good kit, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Sprint makes fairly good products, and Ingalls camber kit are good too. On a side note, I have a CRX lowered 2" on Neuspeed sports and I only have very minimal camber wear on my tires. I made sure to get a good alignment, though, and had them adjust the toe-in too. You might want to try that before investing in a camber kit.

I just bought one similiar to what you are looking at. Paid $45 off ebay. I'm going to try to put them on today and get a 4 wheel alignment Friday.

I believe these are made by a company called Vision. They are not for corredction of negative camber, rather they are for dialing in MORE negative camber for track days and such. Totally opposite from what u are lookin for.

I am currently using the progress kit. Its whatever and the front bushings kinda squeak and creak and a little. It does the job though.

dont get the ebay ingalls block-type knockoffs...i had some i bought....they made the whole front end of the car feel loose(even after alignment) and were really cheaply made....considering how important of a part they r to the basic geometery of the suspension i would spend the extra $$ now and save the headache that comes from cheap **** screwing up ur ride

spend your money on correcting your toe alignment first and youll wear through tires normally again. dont bother with a camber kit.

well dont feel bad myfriend cause i was gettin ready to do the same Topic cause i was wanting to know the same thing. But anyways here is my question....

i have a 90 Si hatch and i have a set of Dropzone coilovers and they are lowered allllll the way down in the front and in the back they are about 75% down, and i'm running some Rotas with 205/50/15 falken tires and i have bad camber in the front and no camber in the rear! so what do yall think would be the BEST camber kit for my front!????? or what should i do, i saw that someone was talking about the Toe in?? what is that about.

Thanks for any help

Isaac.

toe is the biggest cause of tire wear, not camber as most people think.
i went through a set of falken ziex 512's in like 4 months with stock suspension and i even baby'd those tires, happened that my aligmnent and toe were way off!! my back tires had like 95% thread on them stil! lol. well now i lowered my car on omnipowers and corrected the problems and the wearing seemed to have gone away for now!
hope this helps

I have an ebay camber kit. no problems. but yea, id say toe is a bigger factor in the wearin of the tires then camber is, even though you should take car of both though. I got my camber kit on and got it aligned. got the toe and camber set right and my tires wear perfect now.

went with ingalls kit(poly),1.5-3.0 neg , the only problem is u cant get a 0 camber, pushes the control arm out to far.... i settled for a .8 degree neg, and thats with a little grinding.... i really like the one in the pics above... what do they go for?

I canno0t advise you without knowing what the alignment printout says.
However-what you show appears to be anchor bolts from SPC. Check their online catalog. It is an offset bushing type adjuster. The control arm type will also work well if you have enough clearance. In any case you will probably be having to beat the inner fender panel a bit to get enough room for a control arm to clear and go up. I have the SPC kits up front and they are just fine-with the inner panel modification.

Alignment check: negative camber means the topside of the tires is in, and positive camber means the topsides are apart (or rather...more so than normal).

Also, TOE: Toe IN means the frontside is together, Toe OUT means the frontside is pushed apart.

Just making sure I'm right. I'm also searching for a decent camber kit so I can dial between daily driving and time spent on the track. Have we found a half-way decent setup to add positive camber? My car's lowered 2 1/2 on Skunk2 adjustables. I can raise it, but I prefer a lower center of gravity. I can deal with a lift though. NOPI.com has 'em, but for some reason they just look cheap, made by specialty prod...?

Thanks

Just set your toe near 0 (a little toe in for street driving) and you won't have much of a tire wear problem.
