ok lets get this outta the way....
although i have 5 years experience working in a head shop, (im no fool when it comes to engines) i dont know much of anything when it comes to the ins and outs of honda swaps.

with that said....
my neighbor is ready to rebuild a d15a2 he has for his clunker of a civic. meanwhile another friend has a d16y8 motor coming out of his 98 civic ex

is it possible to put that y8 head onto the d15? i see lots of topics on d16's but have found nothing specific to the applications im dealing with.

if it is, what modifications have to be made? any real help will be greatly appriciated.

If i'm correct you can do it and even keep the carburated injection but it would be pointless. not much power increase unless you convert to mpfi and the takes lots of work. If your up to the work go for it.

 

No im gonna change the whole head,manifold etc. Bottom block is the only one im gonna keep. will this work?

 

i'm not all that sure of all you are going to do but i will let you know that it will all bolt up.
