Default K20A2 IPS-K2 Dyno 222 whp

Only AFR tuning was done. Still needs more cam angle and igntion tuning, and a couple more mods to reach IPS' magical SAE 227 whp number. Test was done on a dynojet.

Mods are:
AEM CAI * PRC manifold * Hondata IMG * IPS-K2 007 cams * DCRH * Opak Titanium exhaust * K-Pro * Exedy Cerametallic Clutch * Toda flywheel * Quaife LSD * JDM CRV 5.0 FD * Mugen SS * Comptech 21mm RR swaybar * Kumho MX * ES MM * Mobil1 5w30 * Redline 75w90

Nice numbers...two questions? where did you get that final drive lol and what headers are you running. Good luck in reaching your goals.

Those numbers aren't that amazing. K20a2's typicaly dyno around 209 215 with Intake, kpro, Race header, IM and gasket, and exhaust.
k20a's dyno 220's 230's all day.
You should push that set up a lil harder, i know IPS claims SAE 227 whp but thats I/H/E only you have a lil sicker set up. i have K2's on the way. Ill post up results.

Actually look at the IPS site again and you will see that IPS has a "sicker" setup. My tranny mods does not translate on the dyno. IPS had the bored TB and intake velocity stack over me.

220s 230s all day, were those STD, SAE or uncorrected? The local ITR guy here pushed SAE 218 at the most with his ITR setup. You are a bit optimistic. But nonetheless, post up your results and be aware of your corrrection factor.

Check out hondawerx's site if you want the FD, it takes awhile to get it from Japan though.

With a better induction setup (I, RH, E), these cams can shine even more. As of right now, judging from how my AFR richens up pass 7k, its choking up top.

My hatch put 222 on kpro/ i/ rcrew header. Ive seen the same setup on an R put down 230.

Good numbers though. I would definately go with another header, You already did the cams and a few other things might as well go the extra mile and get a much better header.

The EG/EK swapped K20R's with DTR header will definitely outperform the AC/PS equipped DC5. We've measured the hydraulic PS to be eating up 6-8hp. Converting to electric PS pump on this particular vehicle would free up power. Throw on a good header and we'll see even more. Gotta keep things in perspective and avoid generalization.

You have K2's coming? Please pm me with your information as I don't have any outbound orders to SF, CA at the moment.

Wow didn't realize how much power the hydro PS ate up. I love AC too much to live w/o it.

The minute a good header is out, I will invest in one. Until then, I will hold out and wait. This setup does need to breath better though.

They do not dyno that high in RSX's. It just doesn't happen, unless you are talking about hub horsepower.
