Help with Zeitronix and Hondata
i am running the wideband as a replacement for my stock o2 sensor. i ran the narrowband output from the wideband to the ecu, but it is still throwing a code. my question is how am i supposed to connect my wideband so that the hondata can read it??? this is my first time working with hondata and a wideband so i am unsure. i started the car and it threw a code, probably for the o2 sensor, and it runs hella rich. i already searched and didnt find the answer to my question. please help out as soon as possible. i need to have it so it doesnt throw that code and so the hondata can read my wideband. please help.
thank you

hey, I just installed the DynoJet wideband on mine.....what I did was I left the stock O2 in place and welded in another bung for the wideband. I then connected the output wire from the control box to the white (signal) wire of the O2 that is coming from the ECU. I capped up the other end of the white wire from the sensor and left it be. I didn't cut any of the other wires (ground/heater), and just left them. It's working just fine in the RomEditor....make sure you tell the romeditor what your A/F conversion values are (under File_Settings)
Oh yea, your code is *probably* the O2 Heater code....thats why I left those wires connected because you have to deal with resistors and **** otherwise. Orrrrr just go under Options and disable the O2 heater.
what i did for my plx is leave the o2 pluged in and just cut the sensor off. then solder a resistor to the two black wires. then connect a narrowband wire on the wideband to the o2 signal wire.
i tried that. what i have is the signal from the o2 cut, but the sensor plugged in. now i hooked the wideband output to the ecu instead of the narrowband. if i am suppose to connect the simulated narrow from the wideband to the ecu, then where do i connect the wideband output to?
ok, i tried to hook up my car to the hondalogger, and it will connect for just a second, then it will lose the connection. how is this fixed?? and i ran the car with a stock ecu, with the wideband connected and it ran without a code. i have the o2 sensor plugged in and signal wire cut so there shouldnt be a heater code being thrown

well you don't need to connect the narrowband wire to simulate it. Just connect the wideband wire to the signal wire coming from the ECU. Then what you do is click File_Settings_click the Lamda tab_click on the Edit Conversion Table. Select Custom from the drop down menu then type in the A/F values that your sensor puts out for the Voltages given (it should be in your manual or something that came with the sensor). Hit ok and then the save button.
Hondalogger, turn off the car, try restarting your computer then reconnect and try again. For CEL's click the "Error Codes" tab (right above the Tach in Hondalogger and its the 4th one over from "Dash") To clear them, click ECU (next to File) and select Clear Error Codes (Ctrl+E)

ok, i have the wideband wire connected as you said. i will convert in the lambda tables in a minute. the only problem is, my car is idling like crap, and wont idle unless i give it gas, and im the only one here right now. can i still change the a/f settings with out the car on??
yea, you should be able to...at least it worked for me when I did that. Just open up RomEditor, change them, click ok and make sure you hit save as well. Then connect the RomEditor to the car and try redownloading the ROM to the ECU (Ctrl+W) and then start the car and see if that helps. Is your CEL still on?
You can't disable O2 heater in Hondata? I was having the same issue, but both Crome and Uberdata let you disable O2 heater. I'm code free running just my wideband, feeding the ECU the narrowband output.
Edit: sorry, saw that someone already posted that *punches self in nuts*

im not even making a run. right now the car just idles crappy(probably because i had to set the conversion for the a/f in hondata) but now it wont start, i think there is just too much fuel in there right now....hopefully, or the battery is not fully charged. i am charging it right now. the hondata i have has already been tuned for the setup i am running. i just need to get rid of whatever code it is throwing, get the ecu to correctly read the wideband, and get it to run fine. that is what im trying to do with it. and since i dont have a laptop, i have to use the computer in my garage for now.

No, the RomEditor is what you use to edit the fuel/ignition values. If you don't have RomEditor and only Hondalogger then you can't change the A/F values that the ECU interepts.
Hondalogger only displays information, you can't change info from there.

yea if you reconnect the stock O2 then it should work just as it did haha.....You need to get someone with the RomEditor software and let them change the values, then burn a new chip.....not sure if a new chip is needed, but I *think* it is.
