quick question about changing the clutch. 2000 si

My friends and I are having an argument at work. On my car (2000 civic si) do we need to pull the rack to pull the tranny? thanks

you can drop the whole motor through the bottom with out removing the rack so most definatly dont need to remove the rack for just the tranny !
