I'm a man who loves his race vids, but I didn't like this one. It doesn't really show the potential of any of the cars. Sure the IS300 seems pretty quick, but most of it's opponents didn't seem to even be trying. I don't think the IS3 is making the claimed power either. It should be spanking those cars with that much power, and those other cars weren't being spanked. I would need to see a dyno video that shows the pull as well as the result, without stopping the recording in order to believe a claimed 719 WHP. But hey, WTF do I know.

I guess upgraded pistons and rods are enough to withstand 28+ pounds of boost, plus a 75 shot. The head has been unmodified, am I right?

I guess the 2JZ series motors are pretty tough. But even if he is making 719 whp, shouldn't that car be quicker? Maybe it's me....maybe I just not seeing what's up in the vids.

 

the 2JZ bottom end is a very strong bottom end if its built up right.

 

in that video, its not doing 700+whp, its in the low 500whp area.

and yes, i think this car is very impressive, and yes it does seem like its making 500whp, its walking all over these badass domestics.

also in the visionboy vid when the is300 races the AMG E55 it says that the IS makes 642 rwhp and 599 torque. the vid that you posted is an older one and the video's i'm talkin about are fairly recent. so they've changed the seup on the IS to make more hp now.
