HOP ON THAT!

I'm just a little concerned about how long you'll be able to keep an ITR in CA. If I lived out there I probably wouldn't own one.

i dumped all my mint red stuff for slightly scuffed up blue stuff and kept the flat black stuff a while ago; i guess the whole blue/black fad caught on. being unique is tough with modern bikes, i figure i'd try and get every last part black...

Yeah, I was kind of concerned about that too. There is no rush, it's a friend's car in Boston who just doesn't drive it much anymore. The longer I wait, the lower the price is. It would probably be worth bringing back here to sell; as much as I'd love to enjoy it, it would not last long.

dont get me wrong the whole black thing looks hard, but painting the swingarm, covers, leversl, exhaust, forks, just seems likea lot of work to do right... fairings, no sweat, but the rest, well lets just say it was a headache photoshopping, and you dont even have to remove, clean, prep, prime, and paint for that! good luck either way, you got a killer bike!

I wanna see some pics of the bike in its current configuration.

i can see what you are saying but i guess i am used to it by now; i can have the entire body apart on the floor and ready to go in about 15 minutes lately, seems like those timed trials when they do rubix cubes. anything metal with the exception of the forks, i'd give to a powdercoater. especially the swingarm; there is no way in hell i want to prep that thing because it would look terrible in the end. i've been checking out some paints lately, duponts new hot rod matte black is looking good.

I dunno. I thought I was gonna like it more than I do.

I really like the blue RRs, but I think having a blue tail on it goes a long way. Hope your front hugger is blue too.

I say paint the tail blue and take the decals off. You'll have a really sexy bike. Flat black is gonna get old real fast, and won't do a new fancy bike justice. Besides, it won't be that original with all the new all-black bikes out there (SV1000, CBR600RR 05, Raven R6 and R1).

i can see your point. front fender is blue. it's probably easier to find another blue tail rather than to spray this one. btw, what on earth are you doing up this late?

It's a regular thing for me. can't remember the last time I went to bed before 12.

It doesn't help that my lady friend is in India, so we talk on MSN when she's at work (ie right now).
