Default 94-97 and 98-01 bumper price difference?

My front bumper on my car is cracked, and I was thinking about purchasing a new one. By looking on various websites I discovered the 94-97 bumpers can be found for under $100 shipping. But, the 98-01 bumpers (the one I need) can not be found shipped for under $200. Why does this crazy price difference exist? I'm ready to just get a front body kit because it will be cheaper. Only if I didn't like the type-r front lip so much...::sigh::

If anyone knows where I can get a 98-01 front bumper for a more reasonable cost I would love you forever.

98-01 = higher demand

High demand sucks. Speaking of high demand, I should be studying for Macroeconomics. But instead, I'm sitting here online bitching about prices of bumpers, haha.

Also consider the fact that you'll need new headlights and corner lights if you do the conversion. The reason for the difference is simple, first off parts for newer cars usually go for more than for older cars, and there is a surprisingly high demand for the 98+ bumper.

I already have the 98 headlights and corner lights on the 98 bumper now. How did you know that I didn't have a 98-01, or were you just throwing the conversion info out there? Either way, thanks.

not suprising, 98 looks better
just look for a deal, I've seen 98 bumpers go for 100 once in a while, 150 is quiet often too

look @ junk yards...i bought a pretty clean, no cracks, perfect paint 00 bumper for 65 bucks. and this was for my conversion and i sold my 94 bumper for 60, so i basically bought the 00 one for 5 bucks
