Is this a jdm ecu???37820-p72-003
37820-p72-003. I bought it to replace the original ecu that was stolen recently from my mostly stock usdm 1995 GSR. So far here in the HT and elsewhere I've found nothing specific about this ecu other than it has a slightly different fuel map. I saw one post where someone said the jdm ecu has a speed limiter set at 110. I bought it because I needed one right then and there. This is probably common knowledge to someone on here. Theres got to be a reason they stole my a01, and I need to know what it is, partly to find them this summer when they bring the car out. Also can I chip this ecu? Thanks
i think thats a jdm obd2 gsr ecu.. same as what i got.. but my last 3 are a lil different. my fuel cut off is around 130mph. and i'd just buy a p28 and have that chipped, rather than working with the p72.
they stole ur ecu cuz it's an OBD1 P72 ecu which is very popular and can be used to run aftermarket chips, hondata, uberdata, crome etc. plus this ecu has knock sensor support and IAB support
This was advertised as obd1 GSR. It plugged right in no problem, I thought obd2 required a conversion harness or something. Paid a premium for it. Why if it was for a gsr would it not have IAB support? Dont all GSR have vtec and all vtec have IAB? I installed a wireless video camera along with an alarm in my car. Its hooked to a motion sensing program on a computer which triggers recording. Its just because I cant see it from the window. Im pretty proud of it but I realize its kinda insane. A month and a half ago it was my stereo If this were in Socal it could be any number perpetrators involved. In this area of the country there are about 5 hondas and 3 acuras, no chop shops(maybe one), minimal bling bling of any kind. I will cross paths with the cat who did this.
