Default Tubular Manifold Flaws

I am constantly warned about those tubular manifolds that are welded homemade or even by major manufacturers. people complain about cracking all the time. I have heard that even the weight of the turbo will causes issues tot he manifold over time, (even when the turbo is mounted properly).

Any opinions/ experiances?

Working on a project, just tying to gather data

thanks,
Todd

If you buy one from a reputable manufacturer you have nothing to worry about. I have over 15K miles on my Neukin manifold that was bought used already with about 3000 miles on it, and a friend of mine has one of the very first full-race manifolds, circa late 2002 or early 2003 with over 45K on it on his daily driver without a single problem.
