Default Looking for pictures of 2.5" Custom Straight pipe exhaust..

Does anybody have pics of this? I'm debating between that and a 2.5" Catback... What are the main differences?

Anybody have pics of a straight pipe and a normal catback already installed on a car.. Preferably looking at them while the car is jacked up? What are the advantages to getting a straight pipe? Are there any clearance problems or scraping at all? Is it legal in CA?

If you EVER drive your car on the street get a catback. Sure a full 2.5" straight pipe would yield the best gains but you must remember that there's always a tradeoff. Are you willing to gain 1.5 HP on the top end at the expense of getting pulled over every five minutes?

Well, I have the Apex'i N1 catback right now, how much louder would the straight pipe be compared to the N1?

Actually, I am 99% sure they do, I believe it is called the Thermal Stealth but don't quote me on the name.

Thermal makes a 2-1/4" and 3". I don't believe the 3" system comes with a resonator in stock form but I've been wrong before.

Incorrect. The Thermal "stealth" modification merely means they install a cone in the piping to reduce decibel levels.

As long as you're willing to admit you were wrong after you get off the phone with them.

My comments are meant to be taken light-heartedly. Some people just need to find out for themselves. That's fine.

Alright man, it just sounded like you meant it sarcastically. FYI to everybody, I checked on the Thermal website and did not see a direct contact number, and so I decided to call several California dealers in my area and all 5 of them said they carried the Thermal 2.5" catback...
