Default Questions for those with "PAINT JOBS"

How much did you guys spent on the paint job on your car and please if you could post the pics with it so I can see the quality.

When it comes down to paint jobs it's pretty pricey but there's an old saying -

"Good paint job aint cheap.........and cheap paint job aint good."

Just wonder if $1500 will get me a good enough paint job, not looking for an Import Showoff quality, something that would make my car look mint.

man I wish my dad could paint my car........my cars got no major body work needed, just needs a fresh paint job since I believe it was previously "ghetto" painted but I didn't notice when I bought it but now it's chipping and there's a lot of flaws.

it's all about who you know, you could easily spend up wards of 3k, but the price differences in paint would supprise you, most of what your paying is labor. So if you know anyone, they could cut you a deal on the labor but other then that, i'd say you'd be looking at like 3k for a "mint" looking painjob, 1500 would probably be alright, you just need to talk to the guys at the shop, see what kind of work they do. Make sure they their going to fix fisheye and orangpeel in the paint if it occurs. and you should be fine. good luck

It's all in the prep time and quality.

I have seen $2000 paint jobs come out with more orange peel than you'd imagine. Of course I have seen $200 Maaco paint jobs the same way.

$3300 (a lot of labor for shaving molding holes, emblems, squirters, front license mount holes, fixing some door dings, and fitting rear bumper)

Not the best pics. White doesn't show a good reflection like darker colors

If your not getting any body work $1500 should be a pretty nice job

also depends on who details the car after its done. Some are better than others such as wetsanding and buffing. A good wetsand can turn blurry paint into glass.

^^^ You got a good deal.

Mine has 1 gallon of base and 2/3 coats of clear. It is in the process of wetsanding and buffing as we speak. I'm so ready to get it back and snap some pics.
