Need your opinion?.. Always wanted a 88 hf rex from the get go.. and im finally have the chance to buy this one.. it is for $3500.. is it worth it/..

that car is pretty damn clean.. does it have a clean title? anything wrong with it.. does it have rust.. gotta look for the usual.. i guess 3500 isn't bad... i personally wouldn't pay more than about 2500 for it.. but thats just me..

 

its clean i would buy it for 3000....

 

just ordered a car fax today.. should recieve it tonight.. if it turns out ok.. then looks like i'll pick it up..

this is going to be my 4th h-car... i went from a 97 rs teg (totalled), 98 itr (totalled), 93 eg cx (daily).. but always wanted an 88 hf.. not really fond of the eg.. but i couldn't pass up a good deal.. but it actually grew on me.. i still have my itr motor/tranny.. which is now fully built.. it was gonna go in the eg.. but if i do get it...????

 

hard to see from the pics but..it looks pretty damn clean and straight and the jdm front is a + ...i would try and talk them down a bit on the price but i would expect them not to budge very much...you never know till you get there how people are gonna be

clean title...no dents....that interior looks all SI....You might want to make sure this is a TRUE HF...and just swap interior.....No sunroof?...styrafoam behind the bumber? Check all your corners.....3g's you want this HF to be legit....good luck!

i've been looking for clean 88 hf.. but most that i have checked out has serious frame damage!.. or is located on the other side of the coast..

 

you checking up on CL huh?...i was gunna call up that guy too...but i got the thinking...and 3500 seems a lil too much for a crx. but thats me...if you decide to get it...tell me how it is.

 

you also have to think, the jdm front end conversion is almost $1k in itself.

yup.. craigslist.. he's located in fresno.. so i gotta make the 2 hr trip.. it was originally posted for 4000.. but yea.. when i do the math.. it seems like a good price.. for what its worth.. compared to if i where start from scratch...

clean titile 88 hf $1000-$1500 white no rust or major dents if im lucky
jdm front with cf lip $1129 @ password which is out of stock
fresh paint- $1000-$2000 depending on where u go
black si interior- varies...

i'll see if he is willing to bring it down a lil..

gotta question.. with an si motor/tranny swap in an hf.. do you have to use si/dx axles with hubs?..or hf hub and axle is ok..??

ef bargaining days are over, you find one, you have the cash, you buy it. Only if it meets the standards... This doesnt apply to every ef, only the clean ones.

I say you should go for it, and so it should be a true HF you should swap me ur black interior for my black interior.

 

thanks for all your opinions.. im gonna be checking the car out tomorrow with cash in hand.. just in case!.. if i do pick it up... i'll post more pics.. and a motor that has been waiting for a home in 2 years!!.. reason why it took so long is the fact that I need a second car!... something about high c/r and cali gas $$$!!
